Aiming to create an environment where all people can enjoy watching sports and entertainment together

The live entertainment market has evolved dramatically in the current shift from “tangible goods consumption” to “intangible goods consumption” and then to “moment consumption.” At the same moment, in the same place, watching the same thing, laughing together, being surprised together, cheering together, and sometimes shedding tears together. Now, an environment is being created to enrich this experience, which is only possible through live entertainment.

At one time, baseball, soccer, and other sports games were places where enthusiastic fans and supporters went to cheer on their favorite teams. The same is true for live music and concerts. Many of the fans who visited the venue were “followers” who came to see and cheer for their favorite idols and artists. Going to the venue, getting close to your favorite players and artists, and hearing them live. It was a special experience that could not be duplicated by watching TV or listening to CDs.
Entering the 21st century, it seems that these values are gradually changing. Of course, there are still many such fans and supporters, but on the other hand, more and more people may be coming to the venue to simply savor the atmosphere. The number of venues and the diversification of spectating and viewing styles have increased, and the digitalization of tickets has reduced the hurdles to purchase tickets. In addition, the advent of streaming services has dramatically increased access to music. Against this backdrop, sports games and live concerts are becoming places that anyone can easily visit.

Creating seating to be enjoyed by a variety of people and in a variety of settings

The Belluna Dome, home of the Seibu Lions, greatly increased the number of seating variations to 42 when the stadium was renovated in 2021. Baseball stadiums and other stadiums are now focusing on creating facilities that are welcoming to customers outside their core fan base.
The outfield seats are often used for standing and cheering with friends, seats behind the backstop for enjoying food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere, pair seats for dates, group seats for families and friends, box seats and suites for business meetings, and a variety of other seating options help to broaden the customer base.
In addition, more facilities are becoming barrier-free, and people with disabilities, including wheelchair users, can select from several seating options, rather than just predetermined seats or seating areas.

In addition to sports, the stadium also hosts many music events. The wide variety of seating options opens up many possibilities for enjoying live music and concerts.

Creating content and facilities that can be enjoyed by non-core fans

Arenas around the country are evolving at a rapid pace following the launch of the B.LEAGUE. Basketball gives the impression of being a sport popular among young people, but when you go to a B.LEAGUE game, you will be astonished at the broad fan base. Boosters of all ages, from couples with babies to the elderly, don team jerseys and cheer for their teams. One of the reasons for the broad fan base is the entertainment value of the games. Various events are held at the venue even before TIPP OFF, and the DJs keep the excitement going during breaks and timeouts during the game. The seats surround the court and are shaped like a mortar, making it easy to watch and enjoy a thrilling game from any seat. During the game, fans clap their hands and cheer along with the DJ. The thrill of dynamic play and fast-paced basketball, and the excitement of the entire audience cheering in unison, is what makes watching a B.LEAGUE game such an enjoyable experience.

Creating an environment where both children with and without disabilities can have fun together

While facilities are evolving into places where people from all walks of life can enjoy themselves, did you know that there are still people unable to actively go to such places, or who cannot truly enjoy themselves even if they do go there? This relates to families with young children and children with disabilities.
An increasing number of facilities are introducing portable chairs for infants and toddlers for parents who are concerned that their children will not be able to sit still in chairs, or that they cannot see the stage as they have to keep an eye on children, or that they will disturb others.

The IKOU Portable Chair, developed by Halu Inc., is a foldable child's chair that can be used both at home and on the go. Equipped with a posture stabilizing function, it can be used safely by infants and children with disabilities who cannot maintain a seated position on their own. It can be attached to chairs in theaters and stadiums, so adults can enjoy watching movies, live music concerts, and sports games with their children.

Studies have shown that people who go to concerts have an increased sense of well-being and a longer life expectancy. They experience and share emotions together with loved ones. Live music and entertainment experiences enrich our minds and add color to our daily lives. Daily lives in which anyone can enjoy such live entertainment together is just around the corner.
