"Brace" FC-3232：Theater stacking chair

The “Brace” tip-up stacking chair delivers premium comfort for small-scale audience settings such as theaters, halls, and studios.
With both the backrest and seat fully upholstered, selecting fabrics to suit the space or purpose allows for a more refined atmosphere compared to resin stacking chairs.
It can also be used as supplementary or temporary seating in larger theaters and halls.

Compact 500 mm depth when folded—ideal for small venues

Audience seating in small theaters requires chairs that support quiet, comfortable viewing for performances of around two hours.
Brace features a tip-up seat similar to fixed theater chairs, resulting in a deeper seating profile than typical stacking chairs. When unoccupied, the seat automatically folds up, reducing the overall depth to a compact 500 mm—smaller than our “Axis” model, also designed for small venues.
This compact footprint allows efficient layouts in limited spaces while maintaining the refined presence of theater seating. It is also ideal for those seeking a more compact alternative to the TS-1212 series with a similar design language.

The comfort of a true theater chair

Brace offers body-conforming cushioning with cushioning thickness comparable to fixed theater seating, enabling relaxed posture during extended performances.
To achieve a compact form, the backrest is set slightly more upright than the TS-1212 series, while maintaining a gentle curve that supports the natural contours of the body.
The seat incorporates a “balancing tipping system” without a stopper, eliminating impact noise and vibration when the seat returns to its upright position. This ensures a quiet environment, even during entry and exit.
A simple ganging system integrated into the legs allows for quick and secure row alignment, improving efficiency during setup.

Fabric selection enhances spatial design

The tip-up configuration alone evokes a theater-like aesthetic, while the fully upholstered finish allows further customization through fabric selection. This enables the creation of audience seating with a distinct atmosphere beyond that of resin chairs.
In addition to small theaters and halls, Brace is suitable for a wide range of applications, including schools and offices. By coordinating fabrics with fixed theater seating, a cohesive and unified interior design can also be achieved.
