Project Description

A next-generation arena pursuing the ultimate in immersive experience and comfort

In October 2025, TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO opened in Aomi, Koto Ward, Tokyo. The main arena is a long-awaited multipurpose facility with a maximum capacity of approximately 10,000 seats, designed to deliver an ultimate immersive experience alongside a highly comfortable viewing environment.
Serving as the home arena for Alvark Tokyo of the B.LEAGUE, the venue also functions as a major entertainment hub, hosting concerts and a wide range of MICE events. It is a space where basketball fans can engage in energetic cheering, while also providing refined hospitality suitable for non-sporting events.

Japan’s first luxury seating featuring all-leather seats*

The main arena incorporates numerous features that enhance unity and immersion throughout the venue, ensuring excellent sightlines from every seat. At its center is the largest center-hung video screen ever installed in a Japanese arena, delivering dynamic match footage and event productions. A two-tier ribbon vision system, installed on both the lower and upper levels, further amplifies the sense of excitement that is essential to in-arena entertainment.
Another defining feature of the arena is its exceptionally comfortable seating. On the third floor, Largo seats—renowned for their generous cushioning—have been introduced to minimize fatigue even during long events. After evaluating both mesh and leather prototypes, leather upholstery was selected to align with the arena’s premium design concept.
Two types of fixed Largo seating are installed. Seats located in front of the JAPAN AIRLINES TERRACE SUITE on the second floor feature a special specification with a width of approximately 550 mm, around 5 cm wider than standard, providing a more spacious viewing experience. Their seat number plates are finished in refined gold tones, reinforcing the premium quality associated with these seats. On the fourth floor, VISION seats are installed, offering a balance between seating comfort and a compact profile when unoccupied. By using the same leather back pads and seat covers as the Largo model, these seats also achieve a soft and comfortable sitting experience.
All fixed seats are upholstered in leather and come standard with cup holders, delivering both comfort and convenience even for casual spectators and redefining conventional expectations for arena seating. Attention to premium experiences extends further, with the third-floor suite balcony equipped with VSS series seats, known for their high-quality materials and refined design, creating a truly luxurious viewing environment.

Retractable seating system and stacking chairs to maximize multipurpose efficiency

A retractable seating system has been installed on the arena floor, equipped with the same Largo model used in the fixed seating to ensure consistently premium sitting experience. This system allows the venue to be converted quickly and smoothly from sports configurations, such as basketball, to layouts suitable for live music and other events.
For concerts and similar uses, the retractable seating is stored, and Score stacking chairs are arranged on the arena floor. Developed specifically for arena use, the Score chair combines ease of handling with comfortable seating. Its lightweight yet durable construction enables efficient installation and removal, while the ganging function allows chairs to be linked quickly, maintaining neat and orderly rows even in large-scale setups. Because the chairs are stackable, they also contribute significantly to storage efficiency and streamlined facility operations.
Through these seating solutions, the TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO Main Arena embodies a next-generation standard in which comfort is assured regardless of seat choice, and it is expected to play a central role in shaping new sports and entertainment culture.

* PVC (polyvinyl chloride) leather seats are used. This marks the first use in Japan for an arena with a capacity exceeding 10,000 seats.

Facility overview

The main arena of TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO was newly established as the home venue for Alvark Tokyo of the B.LEAGUE. With a maximum capacity of approximately 10,000 seats, it is a multipurpose arena designed to accommodate sporting events, concerts, and a wide variety of other performances. The seating layout provides excellent visibility from all locations and supports a range of selectable viewing styles, complemented by lounges and suites on each floor, each with its own distinct concept.
On the first floor, the newly created PLAYERS LOUNGE allows fans to see players heading to the court through glass, while the TOYOTA PREMIUM LOUNGE offers the arena’s highest-grade hospitality, including hotel-quality dining. The second floor features the JAPAN AIRLINES LOUNGE, developed in partnership with JAL, as well as the JAPAN AIRLINES TERRACE SUITE with its private terrace. Each floor, including the third, offers a variety of lounges catering to different preferences, from casual settings to private and buffet-style spaces. Beyond the main arena, the complex also includes a sub-arena and two parks, forming a vibrant community hub that encourages interaction and activity.
