A new cinema complex offering distinctive viewing experiences across three featured theaters

In September 2024, T-Joy Emi Terrace Tokorozawa opened on the 4th floor of the Emi Terrace Tokorozawa commercial complex. This modern multiplex features 12 screens and a total of 1,872 seats, including three premium auditoriums designed for exceptional audiovisual experiences. The IMAX® Laser theater delivers exceptionally bright, sharp images alongside immersive sound, while the Dolby Atmos® auditorium provides dynamic, three-dimensional sound from every seat. In addition, the complex introduced Saitama Prefecture's first ScreenX auditorium, featuring a 270-degree multi-projection system that surrounds the audience for a truly immersive experience.

General seating engineered for optimal viewing and maximum comfort

For standard seating across all 12 screens, Kotobuki Seating supplied its long-selling CN-55 cinema model. To ensure unobstructed sightlines and superior comfort throughout the venue, the backrests were designed with five different recline angles, customized row by row according to the distance and viewing angle from the screen.

The row pitch ranges from 1,200 mm to 1,300 mm—substantially wider than that of traditional movie theaters—allowing guests to enter and exit rows with ease. In addition to cup holders integrated into the armrests, each seat back features an umbrella holder and a bag hook for added convenience. Furthermore, most seats facing the screen are independently installed, allowing guests to enjoy their own armrests without having to share them with adjacent moviegoers.

A diverse seating layout tailored to every preference

A rich variety of premium and specialized seating configurations is available across the multiplex. In the prime center rows of Theater 1 (Dolby Atmos®), Theater 2 (IMAX® Laser), and Theater 3 (ScreenX), guests can opt for executive "Opus BR" seats. Featuring dual-cushion construction across the headrest, backrest, and seat pan, these enclosed box-style seats offer a luxurious, sofa-like feel while creating a private space within the auditorium.

In the front rows of Theaters 1 and 2, "Premium Opus Glide" reclining seats are installed. Utilizing a synchronized glide mechanism, the backrest and seat move together as the viewer reclines, allowing for a comfortable, relaxed posture when looking up at the screen. Positioned in the front row without visual obstruction, these seats allow guests to fully experience the scale and impact of the film.

Theaters 11 and 12, each seating approximately 150 guests, feature two unique seating configurations. Premium seats are upgraded versions of the standard CN-55 model, featuring rich leather upholstery within enclosed box units with dedicated luggage shelves. Nearby, stadium-inspired counter seats feature integrated tables and generous spacing between seats, making them ideal for enjoying food and beverages during the show. Theater 4, a 200-seat auditorium, is designed for group viewing. The rear side rows feature spacious pair seats with liftable center armrests, while the back row offers three-person trio seats, providing a new way to enjoy movies together with family and friends.
