In July 2024, 109 CINEMAS YUMEGAOKA opened on the third floor of the large-scale commercial complex Yumegaoka Soratos. Featuring 10 screens and a total capacity of approximately 1,300 seats, this modern multiplex is equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technology. Highlights include the region's largest IMAX® auditorium, the Kanto region's first upgraded three-screen panoramic ScreenX auditorium, and KIDS CINEMA, a dedicated, child-friendly auditorium designed specifically for young families.

Meticulously selected seating for a premier cinematic experience

To maximize the impact of advanced projection formats such as IMAX and ScreenX, the venue's seating was selected with exceptional care. For the standard auditoriums, Kotobuki Seating supplied its long-selling CN-55 cinema model. Unlike typical theater layouts where adjacent viewers share armrests, 109 CINEMAS YUMEGAOKA adopted an original specification with two dedicated armrests for every seat. Because each seat is installed independently rather than physically connected to neighboring seats, moviegoers can immerse themselves in the film without worrying about those sitting next to them. Every seat back is also equipped with a bag hook and umbrella holder, providing added convenience on rainy days and for guests carrying heavy luggage.

Executive seating is featured in the prime center rows of all auditoriums except KIDS CINEMA. Replacing the custom executive model previously used across 109 CINEMAS venues, the theater introduced the "Premium Opus Glide," manufactured by Ferco Seating Systems, a member of the Kotobuki Seating Group. Based on the prestigious Class A model delivered to 109 CINEMAS PREMIUM SHINJUKU, this seat utilizes a synchronized sliding mechanism in which the backrest and seat glide together as the user reclines, creating a deeply relaxed posture. The headrest, backrest, and seat cushion feature a plush dual-cushion structure that gently cradles the body. With an expansive seat width of 900 mm—over 200 mm wider than standard seats—along with an integrated side table and umbrella holder, these executive seats provide a luxurious and private moviegoing experience.

109 CINEMAS YUMEGAOKA opened as a key entertainment destination within the Yumegaoka Soratos redevelopment project at Yumegaoka Station. In addition to its world-class screens and seating, the venue offers innovative guest amenities, including Japan's first in-theater TAG LIVE LABEL Snap Drink service, which allows guests to print custom photo labels directly onto canned beverages, as well as 109 CINEMAS' first self-order kiosk system at the concession stand. Together, these features provide a smooth and modern experience for all moviegoers.
