Hiyoshi Kyoiku Building, the new school building in Keio Senior High School, which is commemorating its 70th anniversary, was built adjacent to the existing school buildings, including the original school building completed in 1934.
Hiyoshi Kyoiku Hall is on the 4th floor. All of the wall surfaces were built using cedar from the campus trees. There is a sliding door on the wall to the rear of the stage, and when you open the door, there is a view of nature that looks like a painting that has been cut out.
There are 375 terraced seats surrounding the stage, making it easy to see the presenters on stage from any seat.
The seat back is formed by placing a three-dimensionally curved cushion on a board that gently curves vertically and horizontally. It comfortably supports the entire back.
The seat itself is made of urethane foam and contains springs that evenly disperse an appropriate amount of cushioning so that users can sit for long periods without any strain. The legs of the seat have an indented design above the surface of the seat. If you slide your feet into the indentations while sitting, people can conveniently pass in front of the seat. It is also easy to take notes, as there is a surface for writing that can be stowed away.
There are stacking chairs in the 3 rows in front of the seats. They are light and easy to set up and store. Their distinguishing feature is the large seat back and seat with three-dimensional curves that allow the user to comfortably rest their bodies. If the stacking chairs are stored, the stage becomes more spacious, making it suitable for a variety of events.
