First Lounge Toyota Kamigo
First Lounge Toyota Kamigo
Dec. 15,2021
Capsule Hotel / Nap Room
Project Description
First 'Simple Lodging with Lounge' on Tomei Expressway Opens
In December 2020, 'First Lounge Toyota Kamigo', a 24-hour lounge and simple lodging facility, opened at the Toyota Kamigo Service Area (off-road) on the E1 Tomei Expressway.
Designed with the goal of 'offering a high-quality place like an airport lounge and accommodation space for a variety of purposes', it is a place to heal exhausted bodies after a long travel.
Kotobuki Seating delivered 28 '
B-CUBE series
' capsule beds to the guest rooms.
The guest rooms have 20 single, private rooms and two family rooms that can accommodate up to four people. The service area, expected to be used by a variety of people including travelers, businessmen, and truck drivers, has been designed to provide a comfortable place to rest for a short time.
Capsule bed with simple functions
The 'B-CUBE series' capsule bed creates an environment perfect for sleeping, and has a simple design set up with the required facilities. The refined interior and dark brown exterior create a serene atmosphere.
The interior of the capsule bed has been thoughtfully designed to promote restful sleep.
There is a night panel near the pillow which you can access while lying in bed. It has a built-in digital clock with an alarm. You can also adjust the lighting as per your liking and use the exhaust fan switch for air-flow in the space. Another nice feature is the power outlet, which allows you to quickly charge your smartphone and other electronic devices.
Watches and accessories can be placed on the mini-table provided, eliminating the risk of losing them.
The capsule bed with its convenient functions, provides a resting place where each guest can spend their time comfortably and freely.
Ingenious layout imparts relaxation time
Capsule hotels often have many capsule beds lined up in a large space, with the area in front of each bed used as a shared passageway.
At First Lounge Toyota Kamigo, we have designed a layout to make each guest more comfortable and to give them their own personal space.
To enhance the sense of privacy, the large space is first divided into smaller rooms with entrances at both sides. A capsule bed is placed in the center of the small room so that the upper and lower beds are accessed from different sides, thus creating two single rooms with independent entrances and exits.
The facility has garnered positive feedback for its effective usage of interactive capsule beds that use the top and lower beds in the separated rooms on either side to create a place similar to a private room.
Because the ceiling is shared by adjacent rooms, the room is not totally enclosed, and it has a desk chair set and hanging hooks, allowing for comfortable relaxation time.
A family of four can stay in the Family Room. The Family Room has two bunk capsule beds facing each other, and is furnished with the same amenities as the single rooms.
In both types of rooms, the entrance to the bed is a side-open type that is parallel to the direction of the body when sleeping. In the single room type, there is more access to the bed, and the easy-to-use opening setup allows smooth entry and exit. Light-blocking curtains from the ceiling to the depths of the bed ensure that light does not enter inside, resulting in a sleep-friendly environment.
'First Lounge Toyota Kamigo' is the perfect private space to relieve travel fatigue! As a simple lodging facility with a lounge that can be easily used as a place for hobbies or working online, it offers a new style of travel.
Facility Overview
'First Lounge Toyota Kamigo' is the first 'simple lodging facility with lounge' on the Tomei Expressway, offering lounge space and coin-operated showers in addition to guest rooms (lodging). People who are not staying overnight are also welcome to utilize the lounge and other facilities as a place for hobbies or online work. It also offers a free food and beverage menu and unlimited reading of comics and business books.
