Project Description

Built in the 1920s, the Main Lecture Hall of Seikei Gakuen retains an atmosphere redolent of history. In 2009, the fixed seating in the hall was replaced with stacking chairs. We produce a large variety of lightweight, stacking chairs but for this job we selected a model that would complement the historic atmosphere of the hall. As this hall is used for formal yet celebrative occasions, such as induction and graduation ceremonies, in addition to lecture presentations, a suitable color and texture was utilized for the fabric coverings. These chairs highlight the decorative, classic interior of the Hall while imbuing it with a fresh atmosphere. This space plays many roles in campus life and has become a new symbol of Seikei Gakuen.
