Fitted with Japan’s largest central multi-monitor display, ribbon LED, VIP rooms, etc., this multipurpose, multifunction arena presents an unheard of variety of features. Its concept is to highlight the appeal of ‘Arena Sports’ and ‘Entertainment’
Standing as the main symbol of reconstruction following 2011’s Great East Japan Earthquake, it conveys the attraction of sports, music and other forms of entertainment, offering young people a dream and hope for the future while also presenting an opportunity for the revival of local vitality.
The facility boasts a total seating capacity of 4,002 (1st floor: movable seating for 1,232, 2nd floor: standard seating for 2,393, 3rd floor: standard seating for 273, VIP seating for 104). All the seats have been provided by Kotobuki Seating.The photograph shows the scene at the bj-league (Basketball Japan League) Sendai 89ERS home season opener. Spectator seating consists of 1st floor (moveable/wall storage removable seating), 2nd floor standard seating (fixed) and 3rd floor VIP seating (fixed seating). The blue ribbon LED on the 3rd floor seating is the basic color of the Xebio Arena Sendai, while yellow is the team color of the Sendai 89ERS.
