Project Description

The Shimane Arts Center 'Grand Toit' is a center for the dissemination of art and culture in the Iwami region, providing opportunities for high art and culture appreciation in an extraordinary and beautiful space, while also being part of the everyday bustle. A wide range of artistic and cultural activities are planned, and the center's visitor base continues to grow. Last year, it won the 'Public Architecture Award, Special Prize' for its excellent architecture making extensive use of local materials, its planning of attractive events, and its active facility management.

A very comfortable hall space was designed, and after repeated comparisons and analyses from all angles, 'air-conditioned seats' were delivered for both, the large and small halls.

The Hall's management and operation praised us, saying "Neither the seats nor the seats themselves have had major issues since opening and they are very stable. As for the air-conditioning, there is no draft blowing from the back of the seat and it is quiet enough to stay running during the performance."
