Project Description

The Konodai Girls’ School is a Buddhist school that aims to promote ‘piety,’ ‘industry’ and ‘chastity’ among its students. Consisting of elementary, junior high and senior high sections, it offers complete education up to university level and during its history, more than 20,000 children have passed through its gates.

Named ‘Jukoden’, the auditorium was completed in August 2012, and is used for various school ceremonies as well as after-school club activities. Including the stacking chairs, it contains seating for 1,800, all of which was provided by Kotobuki Seating.

With a Buddhist shrine placed in its center, the hall’s stage presents a sublime atmosphere. The ‘PALLE COMPO’ chairs present a modern design and different tones of color are used in the upholstery between the center and the side rows, harmonizing to imbue the hall with a relaxed atmosphere.

The use of ‘PALLE COMPO’ makes it possible to change the seating layout freely to suit the venue and in the case of the ‘Jukoden,’ the seats on either side of the hall have been placed at an angle to face towards the stage.
In this way, even the seats on end rows have good views.
