Ahead of its official reopening on August 6, 2025, the theater hosted a ribbon-cutting celebration on July 15, commemorating this transformative milestone.

For this transformation, KSI (Kotobuki Seating International) supplied the seating, selecting the AURA™ Stadium Chair.
Engineered for high-performance environments, the AURA™ offers a rare combination of durability, ergonomic comfort, and refined aesthetics—making it an ideal choice for outdoor cultural spaces. Designed with powder-coated cast aluminum stanchions, UV-protected surfaces, and optional accessories, the AURA™ adapts seamlessly to both form and function.

Approximately 1,860 seats were installed in the theater’s amphitheater-style layout, now featuring wider seat widths, improved sightlines, and enhanced ADA accessibility.

This project exemplifies our commitment to inclusive, long-lasting public seating. With over 110 years of experience, we’re proud to support the next chapter of free and accessible theater in the heart of New York City.
