Classroom,
Otemon Gakuin University Ibaraki Sojiji Campus Academic Ark

School and University
Class Room
Project Description
A new campus for Otemon Gakuin with over 130 years of history
The Sojiji Campus of Otemon Gakuin University was built as part of the 130th-anniversary project of the school. The school building has a distinctive triangular shape with an exterior, stretching toward the sky. Stepping into the school building, you will find a large triangular-shaped atrium in the center of the building, "WIL Hall,". It is surrounded by corridors for each floor. The counter tables and chairs are placed against the wall through the hallway and the bookshelves are attached on each counter table.
Classroom desks and chairs are both functional and easy to operate
Each classroom is located on the window side of the building. When you open the door, you will find a pleasant lecture space with natural light coming in through the large window in front. In some of the classrooms on the fourth floor in Ibaraki-Ai campus, we set two types of Kotobuki seating products. One is a combination of the
SD-611
folding table and the
FC-390
caster chair from the PALLE series. The SD-611 series is equipped with a one-touch caster mechanism. When the top panel is folded with lever appear. The c
asters lift the entire table without damaging the floor.
Furthermore, the tabletop can be folded and stacked for compact storage. The PALLE series chairs are shaped to facilitate both listening and writing postures. The seat is padded for both durability and comfort to help you stay focused during lectures. The legs are on casters, and the seat can be raised for horizontal stacking. Both the table and chairs can be stacked to create a flat space in the classroom. Another is a simple one-seat desk paired with a chair from the
CON-PALLE series
. The L-shaped legs of the desk are characterized by a leg base that is as thick as possible. It prevents toes and heels from getting caught when entering and leaving the desk. The CON-PALLE series chairs are compact items that are lighter in weight and easier to operate with the features of the PALLE series to support postures. A hole on the top of the back seat makes it easier to carry and move the chair. A CON-PALLE series supports the learning of Otemon Gakuin students with functionality and operability.
Facility Overview
The Sojiji Campus was built based on the concept of "learning and teaching each other" and "learning by oneself" anytime, anywhere. It is the campus is utilized by the first-year students of all faculties, as well as students of the Faculty of Regional Development Studies and the Faculty of International Liberal Studies. The architectural design is based on an equilateral triangular plan, 130 meters on each side, and is an inverted triangular pyramid symbolizing the beginning of Otemon Gakuin's new education. CON-PALLE series produced the environments which enhance students' independent learning and interaction in the facilities such as lounges, corridors, classrooms and a library.
