TOKYO TATEMONO Brillia HALL
TOKYO TATEMONO Brillia HALL
Apr. 20,2021
Theater / Hall
Project Description
Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL highlights viewing comfort
Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL, a large hall with three levels of seating, opened in November 2019. The 1,300 seats of the auditorium form a gentle curve around the stage. This creates a space promoting a feeling of oneness between the performers and the audience. The Hall has a staggered layout where seats in the consecutive rows are set a half-seat distance apart. This seating ensures that the head of the person in the front seat doesn't obstruct your line of sight, so you can fully appreciate the performances. The first and second floor seating has ample space for wheelchairs, providing an environment where everyone can come and enjoy the show to their heart's content.
Beautiful, flexible seats
The auditorium seats are fully cushioned along the length of the backrest. From the stage's perspective, the vibrant upholstery in a captivating signal red hue envelops the entire hall, inspiring the performers on stage. Contrastingly, when observed from the rear of the hall, the sleek black backboards set an elegant ambience, offering a wholly different perspective. The subtle black color blends quietly into the darkness during performances. The black wooden frames of the seat legs facing the aisles exude a luxurious feel. Guide lights are often mounted on seat legs in auditoriums. However the guide lights integrated in the wooden frames of these seats give a refined impression.
We have used "Spacia" seat with the seat tapering toward the tip where it touches the back of the seated person's knee. Compared to a regular thick seat, this design offers more leg room. You can freely move your legs - this relieves fatigue and lessens stress caused by prolonged seating. You can also pull your legs under the seat to maintain your body balance, facilitating a smooth transition when standing up.
Some of the audience seats are 'mobile seats', offering the flexibility to adjust the seats as desired. By detaching the securing bolts of the seats and lifting them up, you can effortlessly move the seats using the castors attached to the base of their legs. When the mobile seats in the front section of the auditorium are removed and the electrically operated elevator is lowered, the orchestra pit is revealed. Some seats on the (audience) right side can be removed and a temporary hanamichi (elevated walkway through the audience to the stage) can be installed for Kabuki performances. Designed to cater to a wide range of events spanning genres, this distinctive feature sets the hall apart.
Facility Overview
Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL opened in 'Hareza Ikebukuro', a symbolic endeavor embodying Toshima Ward's vision of an 'Toshima International Art & Culture Urban Structure'. Long-running performances of musicals and plays, concerts and staging of traditional performing arts make the theater a popular place to appreciate culture. The ripple effect of the artistic and cultural activities conducted at the theater is expected to bring even more vibrancy to Toshima Ward, which possesses abundant cultural resources.
